Cabello/Carceller is an artists’ team formed by Helena Cabello and Ana Carceller. They have worked together since 1993, and have expanded their artistic practice through collaborative writing, critical theory, teaching and curatorship.
As artists they have participated in group exhibitions such as Nuevas Historias, at Kulturhuset (Stockholm) and Kuntsi Museum of Modern Art (Vaasa, Finland), The Screen Eye or the New Image, Casino Luxembourg (Luxemburg), Global Feminisms, Brooklyn Museum (New York), or Cooling Out, Lewis Glucksman Gallery in Cork (Ireland). They have also exhibited in shows at MMOMA Moscu, Bucharest Biennale, Ventosul Biennial in Curitiba (Brasil), Museo del Barrio (New York), Serralves Foundation (Oporto), CaixaForum (Barcelona), MNCARS Reina Sofia Museum, (Madrid), Künsthalle Mücsarnok, Budapest (Hungary), Centre d’art Santa Monica (Barcelona). Among their recent solo exhibitions are: Off Escena: If I Were..., a site-specific installation at Matadero Madrid (2011), A/O Caso Céspedes, CAAC Seville (2010), Suite Rivolta, Elba Benítez Gallery, Madrid (2011), Archive: Drag Modelos, CAAM Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (2011) and Joan Prats Gallery, Barcelona (2010).
